The cooperative does business in agronomy, energy, tires, and retail. Illini FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada. * PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT* Under the direction of the Energy Marketing Manager, oversees the daily operations and personnel of the refined fuels and lubricants department to maximize profitability for the department. * SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP* Supervises, leads, and develops all assigned personnel in the department. * ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Supervises, schedules, leads, trains, and develops assigned personnel on a daily basis, approving time records, vacation requests, and other personnel decisions as necessary. Supervises the daily operations of the department to ensure maximum profitability and efficiency. Oversees and gives direction on the purchase of fuel and lubricant tanks, pumps, and meters. Responsible for inventory and quality control of all appropriate products warehoused. Maintains and repairs all assigned Fuel 24 locations to meet customer and company expectations. Assists Energy salespeople to ensure customer service is being met and works on special projects as deemed necessary. Prepares any necessary reports to comply with company, government, or regulatory processes and procedures. * OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS* Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts. Responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicles according to company standards, adheres to the uniform policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image. Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. * REQUIREMENTS* Normally requires an Associate’s Degree in agricultural, energy, business discipline, or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years or more of supervisory related work experience to demonstrate effective management skills. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and have the ability to travel independently. Must be able to obtain and maintain all applicable certifications, licenses, and permits. Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant. Frequently exposed or required to: * Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, snow, ice, etc.) * Noisy conditions * Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures * May be required to work at varying heights * Confined spaces * Lift 71-100 lbs * Required to push heavy objects Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
