    Position Summary:

    Provides full support of electrical systems within Carle's main campus, as well as outlying buildings and business units, while adhering to OSHA, NEC Local Authority Having Jurisdiction and other safety standards.

    Qualifications:

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Certificate in Technical or Vocational or CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Driver's License upon hire. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Five (5) years Electronics - Electrical/Electronics Installer/Repairer. Construction and/ or maintenance of systems up to and including 480 Volts, 3 phase. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Ability to distinguish colors. Understanding of the National Electrical Code with the ability to reference it when necessary. Ability to test and maintain electrical systems ranging from 24V to 4160V. Ability to install electrical devices and systems.

    Essential Functions:

  • Conducts preventative and corrective maintenance on all electrical systems, including emergency power and patient rooms

  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems and electro-mechanical equipment.

  • Installs electrical power and lighting systems by bending and running conduit, pulling and terminating wiring, and installing devices under the direction of a licensed electrician.

  • Ensures integrity of preventive maintenance program by maintaining equipment inventory
