JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness (Clearinghouse) at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, is seeking applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Research Professor to assist in the scientific development, implementation, dissemination, and evaluation of projects and curriculum-based programming.

The Clearinghouse is an applied research center, nationally recognized for its work on improving the health and well-being of military service members and their families. Projects focus on topics such as parenting, building family resilience, preventing family violence, enhancing child and youth development, suicide prevention, obesity prevention, evaluation of mental health treatments, veteran transitions from military to civilian life, and families at risk, among numerous others.

Role: The Assistant Research Professor will assist with program evaluation and policy work related to Veterans in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and will support sponsored award and grant deliverables. This position will assist with the development of evaluation plans and the creation of logic models in addition to creating resources and other documentation, presenting findings in reports and presentations, composing literature reviews, and conducting assessments to determine program readiness for evaluation.

Education and Experience: The position typically requires a Ph.D. in a Social Science related field and 2+ years of experience. Prior experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, web-based data collection tools, and knowledge of program evaluation are strongly preferred.

Work Arrangement: This position can operate remotely. However, this role will involve frequent travel to our partner sites in the Pittsburgh Metropolitan area.
