POSITION
SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this role is to support student retention and completion efforts of Delta College occupational programs by providing students internship and co-op placement opportunities, provide support for apprenticeship placement and promotion, and serving as Delta College lead for all activities related to external student work experience.
The Workforce Experience Manager will develop and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with area employers and external organizations.

Work collaboratively with Occupational Programs and Workforce Strategies staff to develop and implement work experience opportunities for students
Provide innovative solutions to engaging and placing Delta College students in internships and co-ops in the community while meeting annual engagement goals
Responsible to manage and support grants which promote co-op, internship, apprentices and other workforce experiences. This includes the engagement and placement of any students, financial and programmatic reporting as necessary to maintain the grant(s) in relationship to workforce experience.
Serve as a college and divisional resource providing workforce experience-related data on industry trends and demands using various workforce platforms like Bureau of Labor Statistics, Department of Labor, Lightcast, and other college-supported platforms, while collaborating with Institutional Research to achieve needed outcomes whenever necessary
Collaboratively build employer engagement events with faculty for occupational programs for potential and new students. Examples may include but are not limited to facilitating a departmental open house with admissions team, faculty and employers or providing employer spotlight presentations to classroom of students, or coordination of job shadowing.
At the direction of the Apprenticeship Operations Manager, register for and attend community events geared toward 9-12th grade student and adults to promote Delta College work experiences opportunities with apprenticeships/interns/co-ops
Develop, maintain, and promote the job posting/event system which connects students to co-op/internship/apprenticeship opportunities
Provide oversight and support for the Office Professional during Delta College job fairs which promote internship, coop, apprenticeship opportunities for students
Represent Delta College at all relevant activities in the region related to occupational career internship and co-op connections, apprenticeship placement
Attend college industry advisory meetings and interact with faculty and industry partners. Deliver updates on regional and national workforce trends and requirements and gather feedback from employers on their employment and work expe
