Treasury Wine Estates Cellar Operator in TWEB - Winery, Australia

About the role

We are excited to be recruiting 5 permanent Cellar Operator roles based at our state-of-the-art winery in the Barossa Valley.

Reporting to the Area Leaders, these roles are responsible for performing cellar activities safely, effectively and efficiently to produce wines of the highest quality.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain compliance with all quality standards and regulatory requirements

  • Implement and maintain compliance with the food safety and quality management system by reporting food safety hazards and quality problems as they arise

  • Maintain product quality throughout all cellar operations

  • Work with the cellar and with the winemaking team to ensure product quality and production schedules are met

  • To perform, continually develop and enhance cellar practices to optimise equipment, systems and personal effectiveness

  • Ensure all cellar operation records are filled out correctly and in full as a true representation of the operations completed

About you

We are really open on the sort of experience you may have – you don’t need to have previous cellar or warehouse experience as we will provide full training. We’re searching for people who are motivated, reliable, team oriented and are passionate about a career in the wine industry. We can teach you the rest!

The roles are shift-based across a rotating 24/5 roster with additional hours required over vintage periods (January to April.) Whilst there will be expectations to work across your roster, we will also offer as much flexibility as possible to make sure we try to accommodate all the moments that matter in your life. (We’ve won the Most Inclusive Workplace award two years in a row, so we’re really good at this!)

Key requirements:

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to prioritise tasks

  • Safety mindset

  • Computer literate

  • Logical thinking and strong problem solving skills

  • Able to perform manual handling tasks (a medical check will be part of the process)
