Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and diligent Estimator/Expediter to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for furthering and communicating with customers on jobs that are expedited. The Estimator will assist with sales and prepare accurate estimates for projects, and new orders by gathering information and analyzing important metrics. Your knowledge of cost and benefits will provide support to make profitable business decisions.

Responsibilities:

Job Order

• Follow work instructions as specified in the job order.
• Cross trained to enter customers orders in the control system.
• Prioritize checking open orders in the control system at the beginning of each day.
• Prioritize checking deliveries that are on or behind schedule, and follow-up with customers.
• Review all change orders with management to ensure proper delivery date and any additional cost adjustments to the customer.

Expediter

• Become the primary point of contact for customers on their orders.
• Collaborate with the Sales, Scheduling, and Production Manager to ensure expedited customer orders are delivered on time.
• Keep customers informed/updated on the progress of their orders.

Estimator

• Work closely with the sales team to assist in determining the sales price for new jobs.
• Provide timely turnaround of quotes to support the sales process.
• Prepare estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Basic math skills plus surface area calculations.
• Maintain high levels of confidentiality.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and military specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze finished goods quality and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal. Bilingual a plus.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Three (3) or more years of experience
