Job Responsibilities: - Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria - Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures - Monitor operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality - Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving. - Prepare test and evaluate new reagents or controls - Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care - Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures - Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary - Assist with processing of specimens when needed - Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment Preferred Testing Familiarity: - Kit Testing: BD Veritor Flu Osom Strep A SureView UHCG - DCA Vantage HA1C - Urinalysis Clinitek Status - Sysmex Poch-100i No manual smear reviews are performed at this location - Manual Urine Microscopic Evaluations - Manual Wet Prep

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Job Requirements: - Associates/Bachelors degree in Medical Lab Science or equivalent is required. - A minimum of 6 months experience in clinical lab testing with human specimens is required. - Experience in laboratory testing is required. - Experience in phlebotomy is preferred. - ASCP certification is preferred. - Ability to work independently and within a team environment. - Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen. - Flexibility depending on business needs.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
