Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator and Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking, packing, and shipping end products to customers, as well as replenishing inventory in production cells using a kan-ban system. The role requires strong computer competency and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while standing and walking 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Utilize RF scanners to locate items in the stock room.

• Accurately pick and verify the quantity of products.

• Verify shipping documents and package shipments.

• Assist material handlers in replenishing production materials.

• Lift up to 35 lbs.

• Replenish inventory in production cells using a kan-ban system.

• Respond to part shortage requests via alarm call or empty kan-ban box on the production line.

• Locate and accurately pick products needed for production.

• Use a push cart to deliver products to production lines.

• Assist the shipping department with any assigned duties.

Essential Skills

• Experience in picking/packing and warehouse environments.

• Strong computer skills.

• Experience with shipping & receiving, shipping software, international shipping, and warehouse operations.

• Ability to operate a forklift.

• Proficiency in using RF scanners and pallet jacks.

• Ability to accurately count inventory and work at a brisk pace.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Good experience in pick/pack inventory selecting work.

• Steel-toed boots.

• Strong English language skills.

• Ability to perform well on material handler tests (basic counting, math, inventory questions).

Work Environment

You will work in a lean manufacturing, kan-ban, production cell environment following ESD protocols. The shipping team is a very tight-knit group, and we need someone who has a flexible personality and can work well within the team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
