Unity House Gun Violence Prevention APD in Troy, New York

Interested in a supervisory role and looking to assist people impacted by Domestic Violence? An Assistant Program Director for our Domestic Violence non-residential program in Troy has opened up. Come join our team!

Position may be eligible for a $750 sign on bonus!

Responsibilities:

Supervise the daily operations of the gun violence prevention program.

Provide outreach targeted at victims/survivors of domestic violence.

Direct supervision of staff.

Scheduling/coordinating on-call staff.

Facilitate team meetings

Oversee rural and urban areas of Albany and Rensselaer County in addition to regional areas.

Oversee of multiple grant-funded programs, data collection/reporting, and support services.

Develop outreach initiatives with providers in the region to help build and maintain new and existing programs.

Build and maintain community relationships, in addition to technical assistance to other programs when needed.

Promote an environment of inclusion and belonging.

Requirements:

College degree and/or previous experience working with victims of domestic violence, gun violence prevention, or a similar population preferred. High school diploma or GED is required. At least one year of leadership/supervisory role is preferred. A valid/clean NYS driver's license is required. Must have reliable transportation. Bilingual or Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.
