About the Role
The Specialist, Procurement Processes role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and maintain global standard operating procedures (SOPs) for procurement. This includes creating a procurement handbook, standardizing processes, and defining supplier evaluation criteria. The role also involves representing the procurement department in interactions with other departments and audits, as well as managing standard taxonomies and templates. Additionally, the Specialist, Procurement Processes includes owning corporate documents and serving as a Project Lead for process standardization projects.
Your Responsibilities
Process Management:
Collaborate with business experts and product groups to develop, rollout, and maintain global standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all procurement business areas.
Create and establish a procurement standards operating procedures handbook to ensure consistency and efficiency in procurement processes.
Work on standard methodologies for specific business areas such as target costing, supplier evaluation, qualification methodology, and risk/compliance.
Represent the global procurement department in interactions with other departments and audits.
Standard Taxonomies & Templates:
Define, maintain, and take ownership of standard taxonomies within the procurement organization, including category codes (direct/indirect) and material master data taxonomy.
Collaborate with cross-functional groups to standardize templates like cost breakdown per category, supplier evaluation & risk assessment process, frame contracts, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
Act as the owner of corporate documents such as global supply chain requirements and serve as the procurement contact for terms and conditions, as well as the procurement-related areas of Magna.com and Magnet.
Supplier Rating Criteria:
- Define and maintain supplier rating criteria in collaboration with business experts from supplier management to measure supplier performance in terms of delivery and quality.
Project Management:
- Assume the role of a project lead for standardization and rollout projects in process management within the procurement department.
Who we are looking for
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement.
3+ years' experience with supplier management, contract negotiation, strategic sourcing, and vendor relationship management.
A strong understanding of procurement processes, including sourcing, purchasing, and evaluating suppliers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyze data, evaluate supplier performance, and make informed decisions to optimize procurement processes.
Effective communication and negotiation skills in interacting with suppliers, stakeholders, and other departments.
Strong attention to detail in reviewing contracts, verifying specifications, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Your preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with procurement best practices and industry standards is beneficial
