HTC Global Services, Inc. has an opening for the position of Solution Architect (Ref# SOLA312SK).
Work Location: Troy, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Duties: Define, design, and deliver architecture-based solutions to application development projects that align to client patterns and standards for enterprise systems. Provide best practices design recommendations and prototype solutions. Leverage deep understanding of industry standards, design patterns, and security best practices to create highly scalable, maintainable, and secure system architectures. Conduct thorough research on emerging technologies and assess their applicability to current and future project needs. Utilize prototyping tools and frameworks to build proof-of-concept models that demonstrate the feasibility and functionality of proposed system designs. Responsible for overall solution configuration and implementation support, working closely with the development team. Use JIRA effectively to manage architectural design tasks, track development progress, and facilitate communication. Ensure timely and efficient resolution of architectural issues. Collaborate with development teams to define system configuration parameters and deployment strategies. Provide technical guidance and expertise during system implementation to ensure adherence to architectural blueprints. Troubleshoot configuration issues and identify solutions to optimize system performance and scalability. Perform unit and integration testing, capture QA (quality assurance) defects, and document test cases. Analyze and prioritize defects and provide recommendations based on QA findings. Clearly communicate defects to development teams, outlining the impact and potential solutions. Align signoff with product owners. Clearly communicate technical implications and dependencies of design decisions to product owners. Collaborate with product owners to ensure system architecture aligns with product vision and roadmap. Obtain formal sign-off from product owners on architectural documentation and design prototypes.
Requirements: This position requires a Master's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with application/software development and JIRA. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
