HTC Global Services, Inc. has an opening for the position of Solution Architect (Ref# SOLA311HK).
Work Location: Troy, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Duties: Define, design, and deliver architecture-based solutions to application development / cloud and infrastructure projects that align to client patterns and standards for enterprise systems. Responsible for cloud and infrastructure design and implementation, and cloud solution architecture. Lead cloud migration and modernization efforts. Propose, design, and implement next generation cloud solutions for customers on AWS. Participate in client meetings to understand the business requirements. Discuss the application infrastructure with stakeholders. Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather comprehensive requirements for cloud migration and modernization projects. Propose solution design options to the clients for their cloud requirements. Translate business needs into innovative cloud solutions, designing the optimal organizational structure for the AWS environment. Validate existing client cloud infrastructure and recommend best practices for enhanced security on AWS. Conduct thorough cost and pricing analysis of customer environments, recommending and implementing cost optimization strategies. Prepare the high-level and low-level design documents. Work with cloud engineers to drive cloud migrations and implement the proposed solutions. Lead wave-by-wave migration planning, ensuring smooth and efficient transitions to the cloud. Design and implement robust HA (high availability), DR (disaster recovery), and backup strategies to guarantee business continuity and data protection. Train the client team on emerging cloud technologies. Develop future-proof modernization roadmaps for end customers, enabling them to leverage the latest cloud technologies.
Requirements: This position requires a Master's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Technology Lead, AWS Specialist, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with cloud solution design, migrations, and AWS. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
