Talascend SL, LLC AWS Data Scientist in Troy, Michigan
Talascend is currently seeking an AWS Data Scientist for a temp-to-hire position in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
HYBRID SCHEDULE:
- Monday through Thursday on-site.
- Friday remote.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define data science projects that align with business objectives.
- Gather, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources.
- Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve business problems.
- Utilize a wide range of AWS services such as Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Glue, AWS Lambda, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk to perform data analysis, model training, and deployment.
- Build and deploy serverless applications and microservices using AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway.
- Leverage AWS Elastic Beanstalk for deploying, managing, and scaling web applications and endpoints.
- Monitor and optimize the performance and cost of AWS resources through AWS Cost Explorer and AWS Trusted Advisor.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of data science solutions into the AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Visualize and communicate results and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science and AWS technologies to continuously improve our capabilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a strong track record of delivering data-driven insights and solutions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) services and tools, including but not limited to Amazon SageMaker, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, and AWS Lambda.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex, unstructured problems.
- 2 years of experience; AWS knowledge, machine learning (will take 1 year or right out of college with some experience. This is NOT a senior role)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and machine learning.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics).
