HTC Global Services, Inc. has an opening for the position of Application Programmer / Developer (Ref# APD319RG).
Work Location: Troy, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Duties: Create and modify moderately complex applications programs from detailed specifications. Develop in-detail technical specifications for application software to be performed by the development team. Review design ideas and prototype with product owners and development team. Provide innovative solutions to complex system problems. Develop reports and dashboards using QlikView / Qlik Sense. Implement security in Power BI workspaces depending on type of access required. Review the technical design specifications and code new or modify existing programs as per the design requirements. Analyze and present data to help clients make important decisions. Perform DAX queries using Power BI tools. Responsible for implementing critical BI (Business Intelligence) systems. Increase efficiency by identifying and adjusting key performance indicators. Convert the objectives into technical specifications to develop project timelines. Provide support for data collection and reporting. Use SQL to mine data and write queries in Power Query to transform the data. Prepare test plans based on the system requirements specification. Inspect test results for accuracy and completeness. Ensure the desired quality standards and system functionality are being met. Perform data analysis and testing between the developed report data vs. source raw data. Provide application technical support and maintenance activities for implemented systems and enhanced system functionality. Interact with end users and troubleshoot production issues. Troubleshoot report and dashboard issues in Qlik Sense, QlikView, Power BI, and data issues using SQL. Monitor the performance and availability of Power BI solutions post-deployment.
Requirements: This position requires a Master's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Software Engineer, Systems Analyst, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. A combination of foreign post-secondary education determined to be equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor's degree is acceptable. Position requires 1 year of experience with Qlik Sense, QlikView, and SQL. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
