HTC Global Services, Inc. has an opening for the position of Application Programmer / Developer (Ref# APD318SK).
Work Location: Troy, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Duties: Create and modify moderately complex applications programs from detailed specifications. Responsible for the development and support of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) using Edifecs for healthcare / health insurance clients. Engage with business stakeholders to gather and understand EDI requirements. Ensure the seamless processing of healthcare data transactions, adhering to industry standards and compliance requirements. Develop EDI processing systems and integration solutions for ANSI X12 transactions. Work closely with various healthcare trading partners, payers, and providers and help them build robust solutions replacing their legacy systems. Translate business needs into technical specifications and implement effective solutions. Enable constant monitoring of all production servers and flows following Agile methodology. Deal with data security, data privacy, and validation and implementation on the cloud. Build scripts for automating existing response and enquiry modules. Integrate Edifecs solutions with existing APIs (application programming interfaces). Collaborate with the IT team to streamline and optimize file transfer processes, ensuring reliability and security. Responsible for EDI support and interacting with business and other stakeholders for any technical and functional demonstrations or help. Responsible for SQL development related to EDI. Design and develop applications using T-SQL complex business queries involving multiple tables using joins and sub-queries. Create and execute unit, integration, and regression test plans based on system and validation requirements. Install and upgrade Edifecs applications. Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and solutions implemented in the Edifecs environment. Build queries and schemas for data optimization and to ensure minimal inconsistency within the system. Investigate and resolve issues related to healthcare transactions, file movements, and EDI processes. Troubleshoot and optimize processes supporting EDI transactions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Provide training to internal teams and end users on Edifecs tools, processes, and best practices.
Requirements: This position requires a Master's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Programmer Analyst, Software Engineer, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with EDI and Edifecs. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
