Trinidad State College Construction Adjunct Instructor in Trinidad, Colorado

POSITION:

Construction Adjunct Instructor

DUTIES: Instruct students in assigned courses in accordance with established curriculum and college procedures Use effective teaching methods and technologies to meet the diverse learning styles of students Maintain and distribute current course syllabi using the accepted template Maintain accurate records Submit grades, schedule additions, course syllabi, and other reports or required documents by established deadlines Be aware of and follow established policies of the State Board, CCCS, and the College Assess learning outcomes, demonstrate the use of assessment results in course planning, report and maintain assessment records, and participate in assessment activities Develop and revise curriculum to maintain the quality and relevancy of course offerings Notify the Vice President of Academic Affairs if the faculty member is going to be absent from work. This notification should be made in a timely manner. Discuss with appropriate personnel any problems of students, which may require special attention and provide records as needed Review and select appropriate textbooks and maintain classroom supplies as needed for successful teaching of assigned classes Incorporate learning resources and technologies in courses whenever possible Engage in professional development activities to maintain a current knowledge of subject matter and teaching methodology Meet all classes as scheduled Maintain regularly scheduled office hours Adhere to professional standards of conduct Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS: Associate of Applied Science in Construction or related field; required field experience per CCCS Administrator's Handbook guidelines Must be able to teach Construction courses within the TSC Catalog Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Must be agreeable to working with a diverse population and with all ranges of student abilities Must have a strong commitment and positive attitude toward Community College instruction

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: An unofficial copy of transcripts must be submitted at time of application. Transcripts from colleges or universities outside the United States must be assessed for US equivalency by a NACES educational credential evaluation service A letter addressing the professional qualifications listed in the position description A current resume or a current curriculum vitae Unofficial Transcripts (of highest education attained) The names and telephone numbers of at least three (3) references from persons in a position to evaluate the applicant's expertise as it relates to the position requirements

WAGE:

$21.00 - $28.00/Hr.
