DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a member of the labor crew, you work with a crew of maintenance personnel in all aspects of facility upkeep and repair. Safety is a high priority for our patients, visitors, and employees of the hospital.

Duties include the care of lawns, flower beds, trees, and shrubs; snow removal including cleaning walking and parking areas; maintaining clear right-of-ways, curbs, ditches, and parking areas; minor patchwork on roads; assisting the Maintenance and Transportation Departments as needed; hauling furniture, equipment, and supplies; and ensuring proper and efficient pickup and delivery of infectious waste. This position has limited direct care interaction, but the employee is expected to interact with adult and geriatric populations appropriately.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Please check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction;or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Condition of Employment: This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
