Overview

Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Job Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid)

Salary: $125,000-$155,000/yr

Stellant Systems is currently seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to support the Financial Planning & Analysis team at our Torrance, California location. In this position, you will work closely with managers to develop, implement, analyze, maintain, and present their business, strategic and financial plans.

Responsibilities

  • Manage development of the company's budget and related KPIs, serving as liaison with senior management and department heads to prepare financial and strategic plans for individual departments and the wider organization.

  • Ensure financials are reported accurately and deliver key insights on the business in reporting to leadership and the board of directors.

  • Assist with preparation of quarterly financial board presentations. Provide working capital analysis and commentary for the consolidated company.

  • Own and continuously refine the company's FP&A model and conduct financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.

  • Lead reconciliation efforts tying out key data inputs across multiple systems.

  • Partner with IT to automate FP&A reporting (utilization, KPIs, actuals vs budget analysis). Experience with Tableau or Power BI is a plus.

  • Support real-time business decisions with ad hoc analysis. ASC606 revenue recognition experience is a plus.

  • Manage company overhead budget and rates for multiple sites.

Qualifications

  • You will need at least nine years of financial analysis experience or related, with strong excel skills and an accounting background. Other qualifications include:

  • A broad understanding of all aspects of finance and accounting.

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office software (Excel, and PowerPoint) and a working knowledge of ERP systems (Infor LN experience is a plus).

  • High level of attention to detail and significant experience in financial modeling and performing complex financial analyses.

  • Data-driven problem-solving skills and the ability to drive quality and process improvements.

  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, take the initiative, have a strong sense of urgency, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to build relationships, influence, and collaborate across the organization at all levels of seniority.

  • Project accounting experience is a plus.

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or finance is necessary; a CPA or master’s degree in business or financial management is desirable.
