Canadian Tire VP, Connected Retail in Toronto, Ontario

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead a team that will focus on integrating, driving and delivering key cross-functional strategic initiatives

  • Drive the Connected Retail process with the Executive Team and their senior leadership teams by evolving the operating cadence and ensuring their respective teams are delivering on CTR’s strategic initiatives and results

  • Build, design and establish approach and management of project delivery including tracking, developing, executing, reporting and communicating across multiple teams

  • Partner with the Customer and Loyalty team to drive embedding customer data throughout the Connected Retail process and key strategic initiatives that ladder to broader customer goals across CTR

  • Drive the automotive technology roadmap – identifying potential roadblocks, surfacing new issues and working with stakeholders to sequence work based on customer priorities

  • Endorse, lead by example and build a high-performing team that embodies on working horizontally to break down silos, champion transparency, and foster a cross collaborative environment; Act as a partner to those in the organization needing to mobilize initiatives and work differently

  • Own and drive the Connected Retail Roadmap and associated management, including the linking to Enterprise Plan and overall CTR Strategic plan

  • Partner with key stakeholders across Merch, Digital, Customer, Brand, Finance, Store Support, and Dealer Relations teams to plan, manage and execute cross-functional initiatives

  • Drive internal and Dealer alignment and approval on the Dealer Strategic Roadmap and key initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency and results delivery

  • Own and drive the Connected Retail Technology roadmap, working with Dealers and internal teams to ensure an end-to-end view on driving our omni-channel experience

  • Build and/or develop a high-performing team that can lead and drive outcomes

What you bring

  • University/post-graduate degree in commerce, business, or related discipline

  • 12+ years of related work experience in business management, strategic planning, consulting, portfolio management, or related field

  • Success building, leading, and inspiring a high-performing team around a compelling vision

  • Proven ability to establish vision and set direction for a team even when faced with ambiguity or opposing forces

  • Proven ability to build productive business relationships with both internal and external partners

  • Superb consultative and influencing skills and proven ability to adjust communication style and approach based on audience; comfortable liaising with all levels of the business

  • Strong business and financial acumen
