What you'll be doing

You’ll be joining the Currency, Capacity & Refresh Team (CCR) as part of the Technology Operation Services group in Technology Operations. Our purpose is to mitigate technology risk by engaging with various technology partners to remediate aging infrastructure assets (hardware & software). CCR is an integral component of the ITAM framework and in this role, you will be partnering with various infrastructure and application teams to help plan, govern and report on the orchestration of compute, network, storage, middleware and database upgrades across the enterprise.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

How You'll Succeed

  • Understanding of ITAM - Act as a ITAM SME for CCR, as it relates to infrastructure hardware and software assets. Work closely with the ITAM Program to help meet its objectives. Support other team members by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.

  • Governance and Oversight: Proactively contribute to CCR governance activities (e.g., asset inventory collection, annual planning, risk metric validation, initiative prioritization, and process improvements) including the implementation of new processes to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Analyzing Data - Demonstrate strong abilities around analyzing and understanding data, as well as gap analysis expertise.

  • Communication: As a strong communicator you will facilitate currency-centric dialogues with various audiences throughout technology and provide technical or business guidance to partners within and outside your own department.

Who You Are

  • You have strong knowledge of infrastructure services & platforms, ITAM, asset inventories, and IT Standards.

  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of inventory information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.

  • You're driven by collective success. You know that collaboration can transform a good idea into a great one. You understand the power of an inclusive team that enjoys working together to bring a shared vision to life.

  • You embrace and champion change. You'll continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work to deliver your best.

  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
