What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Core Banking and Payments Technology. You’ll lead complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap. Supporting the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Enterprise Forms and SharePoint. As a Business Systems Analyst, you’ll support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both business and technology. You’ll ideate and collaborate with a diverse team to create and build flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Understanding Requirements - Work closely with Business Partners to guide formulation of complex business requirements and solution design discussions to meet project needs through daily scrums, sprint reviews, backlog refinement. Participate in key Agile/Scrum rituals including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews and Retrospective Meetings. Participate and lead solution requirements gathering sessions in a waterfall environment.

  • Solution Design - Work closely with Business Partners to guide formulation of complex business requirements and solution design discussions to meet project needs.

  • Coordination & Collaboration - Coordinate and lead cross-functional tasks or work packages to identify and document functional or reporting requirements, work flow, information sources and system specifications. Partner with project manager, technical resources, vendors, and management to ensure accurate execution of project(s).

  • Organization and Effectiveness - Manage competing requests from projects and management to deliver all required artefacts with quality and timeliness.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a Business Systems Specialist role within a financial institution. You have experience with business process modeling, IT project management, and knowledge of IT standards, procedures, and policies. Strong experience with Visio and Excel. You must have experience working with Agile methodology , Confluence and Jira. You must have experience gathering requirements, and analysis such as Use Case analysis and User Story development . Ideally you have professional exposure to System Development Life cycle, Application Delivery and Implementation.
