WSP USA Senior Project Manager in Toronto, Ontario
The Opportunity
WSP is seeking skilled a Senior Project Manager to join our Buildings team in Toronto to thrive in this
environment, you will need to be a trained architect or engineer, have at least 10 + years’ experience in
managing Federal Government projects and have experience with Department of Defense project
construction and be well versed in managing multi-discipline design projects, and are at ease in a
leadership role.
The Project Manager ensures the success of the assigned projects by harnessing the necessary
resources and managing their deployment to achieve our client’s objectives. There is no typical project.

What you will do at WSP
Take ownership of the project delivery through all the project lifecycle phases
Knowledge of how Government projects are led and run with a focus on DND works
Prepare proposals, project cost estimates and schedules for construction and design projects
Be the key point of contact with the Client or on behalf of the Client on all technical and
administrative matters
Liaise with project stakeholders and other relevant governing agencies
Manage the project budget, schedule, internal and external stakeholders, and quality
Coordinate the work of Contractors, designers, and other suppliers, both internal and external
Review contracts, design drawings and specifications for completeness, constructability, and
alignment with project requirements
Resolve project issues through the identification of risk and implementation of mitigation
measures
Perform all other tasks that will help accomplish the successful delivery of the project; and,
Contribute to knowledge transfer by providing functional guidance, peer review and mentoring.
What you will bring to WSP
Undergraduate Degree or Technologist Certificate in engineering or architecture, or equivalent
Minimum 10 years relevant project management experience in Government led projects with a
focus on DND projects, and multi-discipline design projects
Strategic, conceptual analytical thinking and decision-making skills;
Strong interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic team player;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Other designations conferred by Industry associations (PMP or others) are considered assets; and,
You must be flexible and have the ability to work on several projects of varied complexity with
minimal supervision in collaboration with multiple supporting elements of the organization
