Job Title: Internal Auditor

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled SOX Auditor to join our clients team. This role involves conducting audit engagements, including Financial, Compliance, IT, and Operational Audits, in accordance with Internal Audit Methodology and IIA Standards of Professional Practice. The successful candidate will test the operating effectiveness of controls, prepare working papers, and ensure that adequate supporting documentation exists to support the completed audit and conclusion. You will use technology and data analytics to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the audit process and evaluate controls in complex production environments, identifying control gaps and analyzing their impact on financial, compliance requirements, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audit engagements (Financial, Compliance, IT, and Operational Audits) according to Internal Audit Methodology and IIA Standards of Professional Practice.

  • Test the operating effectiveness of controls and prepare working papers.

  • Ensure adequate supporting documentation exists to support completed audits and conclusions.

  • Use technology and data analytics to enhance audit effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Evaluate controls in complex production environments and identify control gaps.

  • Analyze the impact of findings on financial, compliance requirements, and operational efficiency.

  • Communicate identified control gaps clearly in writing and verbally to management and business stakeholders.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of control design and work with control process owners to develop remedial action plans/recommendations.

  • Follow up to ensure remediation has been implemented.

  • Develop and maintain relationships using effective communication, both written and verbal.

  • Stay current with new audit techniques and technology, company policies, and procedures.

  • Go through risk control matrices, deficiency logs, and conduct process analysis.

  • Conduct tests of effectiveness based on the understanding of relevant evidence and documentation.

  • Work on US SOX with minimal supervision.

  • Function independently based on documentation in place.

  • Perform tool testing and tests of effectiveness.
