As part of the International Card Services organization, the Manager of Strategic Planning plays a critical role by contributing to strategic development, business planning and team management. The Manager of Strategic Planning will be an integral part of the International Card Services (ICS) EVP Executive Office and will report to the Director of Strategic Planning of the ICS EVP, located in Toronto, Canada. This individual also has a dotted line supporting the Executive Office of the President, ICS. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who can successfully drive a wide range of processes, initiatives and special projects, including developing strategic presentations and supporting critical BU-wide processes. This construct with dotted line responsibilities will require this individual to diligently manage multiple concurrent priorities, with excellent executional and communication skills.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Support the Director of Strategic Planning in managing cluster initiatives, including preparing strategic business reviews and presentations to senior Blue Box stakeholders

  • Assist in the management of business planning and operational processes for the EVP’s office, liaising with core stakeholders

  • Design, define and run new and existing processes that span across all ICS markets (such as Opex tracking), requiring clear and frequent communications with stakeholders and accurate reporting and tracking

  • Assist in content development for strategic presentations (including Board presentations, strategy documents and presentations to regulators) for the President of ICS, primarily under the direction of the Vice President of Strategic Planning

  • Build a strong network across markets with ICS business partners and communicating effectively with partners such as Finance, Colleague Experience Group and Corporate Affairs & Communications

  • Manage split responsibilities between the Executive Offices of the EVP, ICS and President, ICS and operating with flexibility, excellence in delivery and absolute discretion

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated self-starter with a proven ability to provide support across a range of strategic and operational priorities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience translating complex information and requirements into clear and actionable items across various audiences, with advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities with tight deadlines while remaining focused and flexible

  • Proven organizational abilities, with a track record of setting priorities and managing tasks to drive results

  • Strong sense of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive issues, maintain complete confidentiality and operate with a global mindset

  • Previous experience interpreting P&Ls and an understanding of the issuing business across ICS
