Do you have experience building data pipelines and transforming raw data into relevant insights? Are you an expert in Snowflake development, with an understanding of cloud platforms and big data tools? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. You will help develop, and implement scalable data solutions to support our data-driven decision-making.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid Model
Reporting Relationship : You will report to Manager, Data Engineering II.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Design and develop data pipelines using Snowflake for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
Use Databricks for large-scale data processing and ETL/ELT workflows.
Write clean and maintainable Python code for data manipulation and transformation tasks.
Implement data quality checks and data validation processes to ensure data integrity.
Design and implement data models using the Data Vault methodology using the WhereScape (RED & 3D) suite of tools.
Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub to automate the deployment of data pipelines.
Leverage Azure cloud services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
Experience with Talend Open Studio for data integration tasks .
Experience with SQL for querying relational databases .
Experience with Active Batch for scheduling and building data pipelines on a distributed platform .
Experience with Linux for command-line operations and scripting .
Experience working in an Agile development environment using tools like Jira and Confluence.
Experience with production data pipeline support and troubleshooting.
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or a related role.
Experience with data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles using Snowflake or related cloud Data warehouse.
In-depth knowledge of Snowflake development best practices.
Proficiency in Python programming and big data processing frameworks like Databricks.
Experience with cloud platforms like Azure.
5+ years of hands-on experience in relational database development (preferably Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle)
5+ years of hands-on experience in data management, data design and database architecture.
3+ years of experience developing, and testing Azure data pipelines
