Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is seeking a Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician to join our team!

The Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and their controls. The technician also assists with maintaining backup generators, elevators, door hardware, security, and access control systems. The technician diagnoses and makes necessary repairs or facilitates outside vendor repairs when necessary.

What You'll Do:

  • Diagnose systems issues and communicate and coordinate repairs needed with supervisors and vendors.
  • The primary function of this position is performing HVAC maintenance. At times, the technician will be required to assist with the maintenance of lighting controls, generators, fire life safety systems, door hardware, and security and access control systems.
  • Respond to HVAC system outages and issues.
  • Schedule routine testing and preventative maintenance on HVAC Equipment, generators, and elevators.
  • Oversee Building Automation Systems, monitor trends, and update heating and cooling schedules.
  • Perform annual air exchange rate tests. Monitor supply and return flows and work with vendors as needed to ensure systems are balanced.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance to HVAC systems, backup generators, security and access control systems, and elevators to minimize disruption to the workplace in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Provide basic HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance training to maintenance personnel.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repair of life safety, security, and access control systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC) vocational/technical training program

High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

One years' experience in Facilities maintenance or a construction related field, specific to experience in HVAC.

Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program for heating, ventilation and air conditioning is preferred.

Certification from an accredited training program in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrig
