Job Summary

This position will ensure that systems, processes and procedures are in place to provide clear and documented assurance that Hill’s contract manufacturers, blenders, and co-packers (generally referred to as CMs) in NA & LATAM adequately comply with our Global Quality Standards and all relevant Regulatory requirements. The Manager will not only lead and develop their team but will also be accountable to actively participate in all aspects of the program and process management to drive quality excellence across the CM network.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and adhere to Hill’s and Colgate Global CM Quality Standards and applicable country regulations

  • Establish and maintain the necessary SOPs, work instructions and Quality Technical Agreements.

  • Ensure that Key Release Specifications (KRSs) are reviewed and approved prior to releasing product

  • Confirm product and process, non-conformances are investigated, documented and approved by Corporate Quality prior to product release.

  • Oversee the CMs management and application of their quality systems.

  • Perform annual risk assessments.

  • Coordinate team resources for the execution of CM audits.

  • Drive all components of ESM KPIs for CMs to ensure they are met and reported to leadership

  • Provide guidance to the CMs to maintain their audit readiness.

  • Participate as the Quality representative for the CMs Tech Transfer process.

  • Partner with S&T, I&S, Network Operations, Corporate Quality, Global Design and Packaging, and Supply Chain on new product development and/or formula, ingredient, or packaging changes.

  • Monitor that updated formulas and specifications are maintained in Hill’s systems and communicated to the CMs as changes occur.

  • Travel up to 35% including international.

Basic requirements include:

  • BS degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or other related field

  • 6+ years manufacturing experience in a Food or drug/ cGMP environment

  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations, Food Safety, cGMPs

  • 3+ years in Quality related field

  • 3+ years supervisory experience

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Masters of Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or other related field

  • Certification in PCQI, SQF Practitioner, BPCS

  • Certified Auditor

  • Familiar with LATAM food regulations

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $120,000.00 - $134,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually

  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually

  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year

  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
