We have an immediate opportunity for a Project Manager to join the DSM-Firmenich Global Engineering team – Perfumery & Beauty Business Unit. The role will be based in our Toluca, Mexico manufacturing site. The Project Manager will provide project engineering and management services in the development and execution of capital projects from 250 K Euro to 5 M Euro within the Latin America Region (LAM).

Your key responsibilities

• Manage Operations investment projects, ensuring safety, timeliness, budget adherence, and specification compliance.

• Promote collaboration within the Engineering teams and focus on results and Operational Excellence.

• Support Plant Master Plan development and manage Capex planning and execution.

• Oversee internal lead disciplines, purchasing, construction, and project managers throughout capital project phases.

• Develop project estimates, submit summaries for approval, and ensure project reviews (design, hazards analysis, constructability).

• Prepare engineering design packages, manage permits, oversee construction costs, safety reviews, and project closeout processes.

You bring

• BS degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Chemical preferred

• Graduate degree in Engineering, or Project Management is preferred

• Approximately 5-10 years’ experience of demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in executing major construction capital projects, preferably in a F&F, FMCG, chemical, and/or ingredients manufacturing environment. Demonstrated previous experience in Process engineering, Project engineering or Maintenance, both in a direct implementation role and a supervisory role

• Deep understanding of Operations, Capital projects, Maintenance and Engineering in an international environment and related KPIs to drive OEE and yields improvement

• Prior experience with building construction management and installation of capital projects in LAM

• Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing practices.
