Abbott Training Manager in Tokyo, Japan

JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE

– describe in 3-4 short sentences the responsibility and authority (budget, revenue, internal/external contacts, etc.) of the job.

  • Help businesses by developing, facilitating and supervising training programs for employees, especially Sales force.

  • Maximizes sales department effectiveness by determining and solving sales representative and sales manager training needs.

  • Achieves sales training operational objectives by contributing sales training information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

– list the primary tasks or activities this job performs on an ongoing basis.

  • Support developing training programs in line with Business strategies and development plan devised to achieve the annual goals, and work with the necessary departments to execute them.

  • Arrange and execute training program with Sales function.

  • Create and execute training plans for Marketing/Commercial programs and materials issued by Marketing so that they can be effectively used in the sales field.

  • Localize global or area-led training to suit Japan market situation and deliver it effectively.

  • For onboarding new salesperson/related function member, provide training to a level where they can start working independently after being assigned to each department.

  • Track employee success and each training progress and improve training method.

  • Training Contents: Product knowledge/ Competitive intelligence, Competency model, Selling skill/ Coaching skill/Leadership etc.

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills

  • Advanced database and computer skills

  • Good collaboration and teamwork skills.

KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION REQUIRED

– identify the knowledge, expertise, educational level required to perform this job successfully (product /industry knowledge, technical /business acumen, university degree, professional certification, etc.)

  • Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

– describe the on the job experience level required to perform this job (e.g. years of management experience, years of experience in a certain discipline, etc.).

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales (healthcare/medical/ pharma experience preferred)

  • Experience in Sales manager or Training function preferred.

  • Logical communication skills

  • Project management skills

  • Multi-tasking ability

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • English: TOEIC 700-

  • High passion/commitment for this role & responsibility
