The Cybersecurity Senior Business Manager is responsible for managing, running, and developing the activity of evaluation of connected devices, while expanding the market. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting ULS Security Evaluation services and be a local representative to develop fruitful technical networking with world players and entities globally. The Cybersecurity Operations Manager is a delivery driver who efficiently leads a team of individuals with diverse expertise and shows customers a strong value.

• Takes a leadership role of the running of operations in a multi-cultural laboratory, focused on the IOT and Medical Cybersecurity evaluation activity run in the laboratory.

• Lead the strategy for growth in the laboratory to support scaling of delivery.

• Engage with relevant stakeholders and teams and take accountability for the compliance of the laboratory to Scheme and accreditation body Audits.

• Manage Scheme Relationships and working with Quality Management and Delivery teams for Audits

• Drives local projects by keeping a high standard of quality and strong concern for on-time delivery

• Manages projects and the corresponding resources in terms of experts and equipment

• Advises local sales forces in commercial quotation, in accordance with established practices

• Represents UL and promotes UL security services in conferences, exhibitions, or any key events

• Implements a strong technical interaction with different security laboratories globally

• Manages the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, provi

• Manages and coordinates on an industry basis with UL’s current customers or new to market Cybersecurity service offerings over all related industries.

• Develops market assessments, value added propositions and strategies with BU/Divisional leadership, operations, and sales to generate revenue growth and achieve goals.

• Responds effectively to urgent and sensitive customer issues or escalations.

• Develops and coordinates executive presentations and de-briefings.

• Assists industry leadership in the development of global account strategies, goals and plans.

• Focuses on customer satisfaction, account growth and expansion of services provided, and sustaining customer loyalty for a group of new and key customers.

• May provide work direction to other employees in charge of specific customer accounts

• Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.

• University degree in a related discipline with proven experience as a Technical and Business Leader (with cybersecurity experience)

• Ideally working in a Test Laboratory environment

• Ability to identify strong candidates for hiring and growing the laboratory, and expanding the market services

• Understanding of IOT Standards (EN303645, NISt8425, NIST8259, etc.) would be beneficial

• Ability to deliver evaluations

• Beneficial to have understanding of Medical Industry cybersecurity

• Demonstrated ability to manage department objectives, staffing, and budgets.

• Detailed knowledge of product testing methodologies, industry issues, needs, and problems.

• Familiarity with a variety of security concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Ability to manage Scheme relationships in order to align services to accreditation requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to facilitate customer meetings, negotiate and influence outcomes.

• Strong project management and leadership skills to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality.

• Requires a great deal of flexibility and will be required to be available to deal with matters as they arise and may be required to travel when needed. 

• Strong Japanese and English language capability (Written and spoken) with staff, internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
