Google Channel Sales Senior Manager, Google Cloud (English, Japanese) in Tokyo, Japan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience with people management focusing on coaching/mentoring and team member development.

  • Experience in the partner business, including sales and distribution of public cloud.

  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently, to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.

  • Experience in managing partner businesses working through strategy and execution at the C-level.

  • Ability to maintain trusted relationships with VP level stakeholders in enterprise companies.

  • Ability to engage and align cross-functional teams across departments and geographies.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and varying deadlines.

  • Excellent leadership, executive presence, and people management skills, with attention to detail.

As the Channel Sales Senior Manager for Japan, you will lead a team of Partner Development Managers (Channel Sales) within Google Cloud, and will primarily focus on growing Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) businesses with our strong AI technologies. You will be responsible for and ensure delivery of our partner business growth commitments for Japan. You will become a trusted business partner to cross-functional teams in Google Cloud, including Operations, Marketing, Partner Programs, Demand Generation, and others as needed. You will work closely with many leading partners, advising them on next generation partner practices and earn their trust by demonstrating empathy for partner business issues and concerns, displaying competence in business management and a willingness to lead partners towards a sustainable business.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry.   • Manage and grow existing and new partners. Build Google Cloud’s partner business including GCP and Google Workspace.

  • Work closely with Google Cloud's leadership team as a thought leader in our ecosystem to progress our partners' positive impact across Google. Perform ad-hoc analysis to predict, measure, and interpret business trends and inform key decisions.

  • Engage and build executive relationships with key partners and customers.

  • Help define, lead, drive, and deliver transformational partnerships/agreements to partners.

  • Hire, develop, and lead an excellent team of managers and team members to deliver our partner business growth commitments. Lead the team to establish clear, mutual commitments around business growth, marketing, and services offerings.
