Description
The Assistant HR Generalist is exposed to all human resources procedures and assists with tasks throughout all areas of the HR department to include but not limited to recruiting, administration, payroll, onboarding, time and labor, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is a professional communicator, highly organized, and has the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
Responsibilities
Consulting with Proven Leadership on employment needs
Team oriented. They will partner with leadership and HR team members to complete various HR tasks
Conducting or helping the HR Generalist with recruitment and new hire onboarding tasks to ensure a great employee and candidate experience. May be required to support in recruiting screenings
Assist in managing the Time and Labor system for accuracy
Informing applicants about position details, including benefits, duties and pre-employment paperwork
Keeping process paperwork and employment records
Distributes and support reminders of employee performance evaluations and ensures they are completed in a timely manner (i.e., three months, one year, and yearly thereafter)
Assists Payroll Manager to verify payroll changes, memo completion and accuracy of changes in salaries, bonuses and expenses, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
Assists in the accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
Complete events setup and coordination
Aid with employee apparel orders and coordination for the yearly orders
Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
Travel between locations as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related experience
1-4 years’ experience in human resources and payroll experience
Previous experience with ATS systems and payroll processing is a plus
Strong communication skills
Efficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Detail oriented
Ability to maintain confidential information
Multitasking skills
Highly organized and professional
Ability to work independently
Valid driver’s licenses and vehicle
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms. The employee uses a computer, copier, fax, and telephone equipment. The employee must be able to sit for a prolonged period. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
