Job Description

This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Working under close supervision, you will perform a combination of assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. You will follow specified and standardized procedures and your work will be closely reviewed. You will ensure that relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date. Communication of ideas, problems, and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, repair, and test operations on medical devices.

  • Follow standardized procedures and ensure work is reviewed.

  • Maintain accurate job documentation and records.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

  • Adhere to safety guidelines and utilize safety devices.

  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

  • Support divisional initiatives and regulatory requirements.

  • Understand and utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software.

  • Prioritize work based on precedence and importance.

  • Handle and maneuver small components and parts.

  • Make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures.

  • Understand and follow verbal instructions.

  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing.

  • Ability to handle small components and parts.

  • Ability to make decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • General production experience.

  • Experience using hand tools.

  • Medical device assembly experience.

  • Machine operation experience.

  • Cleanroom environment experience.

Work Environment

Work in a cleanroom environment at a medical device company. You will be required to wear hair nets, gowns, booties, and wash hands before entering the cleanroom. The dress code is strict, prohibiting nail polish, long fake nails, makeup, fragrances, henna tattoos, and pants with holes. Closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tigard, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
