Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary. Note: If involved in driving motorized snow & ice control equipment, must also have valid commercial driver's license. In accordance with Section 124.11(B)(2) of Revised Code, Director of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Must obtain Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction within six (6) months of permanent hire date.

ALL ANSWERS TO THE SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONS MUST BE SUPPORTED BY THE WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PROVIDED ON YOUR CIVIL SERVICE APPLICATION. 

This position starts on night shift which is based on seniority.  As seniority increases, the opportunity to change shifts may be available.

All bargaining unit & exempt new hires to ODOT must serve a (1) year probationary period. 

This position is overtime eligible per FLSA Standards.
