WOODSIDE PARK COUNTY WATER AND/OR SEWER DISTRICT PO BOX 1893 THOMPSON FALLS, MT 59873 Open until filled Woodside Park County Water and/or Sewer District is looking for a General Manager/ Montana Certified Water Operator This is a part-time job, which may average approximately 8-10 hours per month. There may be times more hours as required. Days off may vary. The successful applicant must have a current Montana Water Operators License or obtain one within 90 days of employment. The successful applicant must possess skills in personnel management, knowledge of various computer programs (including but not limited to excel and financial programs), supervision of work projects and be able to prepare and follow budgets. This position reports to the Board of Directors. Montana State Certified Water Operator or become certified within 3 months of employment is required. - The general manager has full charge and control of the maintenance, operation, and construction of all works and systems of the district, with full power and authority to employ and discharge all employees and assistants at pleasure and prescribe their duties, and shall, subject to the approval of the board of directors, fix their compensation - The general manager shall ensure that the district establishes and maintains a system of auditing and accounting that shows the financial condition of the district, draw or cause the secretary to draw warrants to pay demands made against the district that have been first approved by at least three members of the board and the general manager Other duties are but not limited to: - perform other duties that may be assigned by the board - Review and revise the emergency response plan as needed - Compose and monitor the O&M Budget, report to the Board on a monthly basis. - Monitor & review payroll - Monitor to ensure that any contracts/insurance do not lapse - Conduct and document annual performance evaluations - Verify that all reports and water tests are done on time and that all reports are submitted to the proper customers, local, state, and/or federal agencies (including CCR report). - Inventorying and monitoring district assets and maintaining adequate supply of parts - Supervise all employees. - Prepare agendas one week prior to Board meetings and ensure posting. - Ability to work safely and ensure that appropriate safety standards are met by those working on the water system. - Must be able to respond to alarms and emergencies as required. - Must be able to follow SOP for the District. - Working and up to date knowledge of potable water regulations. - Ability to perform audits as required by federal, state and local agencies. Must be able to work professionally and courteously with District personnel, customers, local, state and federal officials Job is Part-Time Pay is DOE, 15-month probation period
