WOODSIDE PARK COUNTY WATER AND/OR SEWER DISTRICT PO Box 1893 Thompson Falls, MT 59873 Open Until Filled Woodside Park County Water and/or Sewer District is looking for a Back-Up Water Operator. This is a part-time job that works with the Primary Water Operator. Hours will vary month to month. There may be times the back-up operator will be the primary operator. Days off may vary. The successful applicant must have a current Montana Water Operators License or obtain one with 90 days of employment. Pay is DOE, 15-month probation period. The successful applicant must be able to work with the public, and other District personnel in a positive, professional problem-solving manner. JOB DESCRIPTION - Operate and maintain a water distribution system for approximately 52 connections. - Cycle and maintain all valves and blow offs. - Monitor and maintain supply of water related spare parts and expenses. - Provides input (monthly water report for board and General Manager). - Provide input for annual O&M budget - Monitor water district equipment to maintain proper functioning. - Complete and maintain logs and historical records documenting water sampling, work orders, service requests, meter maintenance/history, equipment maintenance records. - Maintain and document training records and maintain a current water operator license. - Monitors, prepares and maintains required water quality reports and notices to the customers of the district (including CCR, monthly water tests and all other tests as required by the state and federal agencies). - Monthly water tests to be done by the 10th of the month unless General Manager authorizes it later. - Minimum of weekly water reading and recording of readings, inspection of wellhouse and equipment. - Report any problems to General Manager. - Ability to work safely and ensure that appropriate safety standards are met by those working on the water system. - Must be able to respond to alarms and emergencies as required. - Must be able to follow SOP for the District. - Working and up to date knowledge of potable water regulations. - Other duties as assigned.
