Greet, engage, and assist customers
- Candidates must pass a drug screen and a background check. Convictions will be reviewed on case-by-case basis; convictions will not necessarily bar a candidate's employment.
- Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Understand the point of sale system and handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit/debit, Snap EBT, Offline Snap EBT, WIC, Rainchecks, complex loyalty offers, coupons, and check out procedures according to company policy
- Understand and adhere to the company's limits on cash shortages and/or overages and work honestly and effectively to control loss
- Report pricing discrepancies to the scan coordinator
- Stay current with present, future, and seasonal and special ads
- Adhere to all the food safety regulations and guidelines
- Follow established policies and procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Any other job duties designated by management
