What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this position, you will get to:

  • Be hands on Shipping Clerk who coordinates and facilitates the daily carrier notifications and pickup requests of completed shipments.

  • Complete the day-to-day execution of the manifesting and invoicing of the completed sales orders in accordance with the scheduled times.

  • Ongoing work direction, and problem solving to ensure business goals are met under the guidelines of the company policies and procedures.

  • Drive accountability and process discipline, while continuing to develop continuous improvement ideas.

You have:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1-3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and QuickBooks

  • Strong systems knowledge along with knowledge of Logistics standards and methodologies

  • Analytic and problem-solving skills

  • Skills in attention to detail and accuracy

  • Prepare shipping documents (pick-lists, packing lists, bills of lading, labels, airway bills customs documents)

  • Provides prompt and accurate shipment information to inquiries. Arranges and coordinates order changes and or expediting requests in a timely manner to achieve high customer satisfaction.

  • Calls carriers to schedule pick-ups to provide timely movement of outbound freight.

  • Provides freight estimates as needed.

  • End of shipping day reporting as the need arises.

  • Provides follow-up on expediting requests as the need arises. Handles change orders and cancellation relating to shipping.

  • Develops and maintains a good working relationship with both internal and external freight carrier contacts.

  • Provides backup and assistance to other warehouse functions during peak workload and absence coverage.

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance.

  • Job requires pushing production materials and wheeled carts.

  • Sitting, standing, climbing, kneeling & stopping frequently as required by the process.

  • Job requires full range of upper extremities in the manipulation of materials used in the production processes.

  • Operating machinery and positioning production materials requiring a high degree of mental awareness and concentration.
