Taunton Federal Credit Union Assistant Head Teller in Taunton, Massachusetts

TFCU is looking for an experienced teller who is detail oriented, member service focused, and capable of assisting in the supervision of a busy teller line. This position assists members at branch locations and over the phone with a variety of tasks including transactions, account servicing, and loan inquiries. This role requires a detail oriented individual who can handle daily branch operations including vault and ATM custodial duties, as well as supervise staff as needed. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Supervise and coach staff as directed. Provide support and answer inquiries from staff. Direct staff to appropriate resources as needed. Schedule breaks and assist staff with time management. - Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; sells money orders and bank checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed. Accurately balances cash drawer and daily transactions. - Responsible for opening and closing of branch and overseeing teller line operations, following Credit Union Security policies and procedures. Manage and balance ATM and vault daily, and resolve issues promptly. Ensure cash recyclers are appropriately filled and buy and sell cash promptly to vault as needed. Conduct audits of drawers as needed. Provides branch coverage in all branches as needed, including home branch - Verifies and posts transactions to member accounts and maintains member and Credit Union records - Greets members and provides routine information concerning services, and directs members to appropriate departments for specific information and service - Open and close individual and joint memberships and shares. Interview loan applicants and utilize core processing system to submit request - Performs other job related duties as assigned Qualifications/Education/Experience/Personal Characteristics: High school diploma or GED One year experience, preferably in a bank or credit union setting Strong attention to detail Ability to plan and organize, handle multiple priorities Ability to work independently and follow up on tasks Excellent communication skills
