The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth North Pinellas

The role you’ll contribute:

Cardiac Cath Lab Supervisor provide care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, peripheral studies/interventions, and cardiac device implants. The CCL supervisor is responsible for the day to day operation of the cardiac cath lab. The CCL supervisor participates in the hiring of new staff and the daily management of current staff under the direction of the Director of CV Services Procedural. The Supervisor participates in the process for Chest Pain Center and Cardiac Cath Lab accreditations and all other certification and accreditations. The CCL supervisor participates in the evaluation process of the team. The CCL supervisor conducts all business with professionalism and will model the service standards and mission of the facility.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Coordinates with the Director / Manager of Cardiovascular Services procedural to meet the needs of both the EP lab and the Cardiac Cath Lab

· Participates in the care of patients undergoing procedure in Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology lab under the direction of the cardiologist

· Reads and interprets the hemodynamics of the patient during procedure and reports changes to cardiologist

· Responsible for supplies and equipment related to the Cardiac Cath lab including ordering and evaluation of products necessary to maintain and grow the service line

· Provides patient care in Cardiac Cath Lab suites, Electrophysiology suite, and Cath Prep & Recovery Unit (CPRU).

· Directly responsible for working with the physicians including the EP physicians, Cardiologists and Anesthesia to ensure physician satisfaction, patient experience and

lean production within the Cardiac Cath lab

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

· BSN Degree or higher if RN

· Completion of ONE of the following upon hire:

1 RN program

2 Cardiovascular program

3 Cardiac Electrophysiology program

· Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab experience upon hire of State-approved Nursing Assistant Training Program and/or completion of first semester of RN program.

·Certified Nursing Assistant Certification

·CPR Certification within 90 days of hire.

· One of the following required upon hire:

1 Current RN license

2 Current RCIS certification

3 Current RCES certification

· Current American Heart Association BLS certification or RQI upon hire, then renewed quarterly per RQI protocols

· Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or RQI upon hire, then renewed quarterly per RQI protocols
