*Please note that this position will be working mainly in our factory based in VSIP3. Shuttle buses will be provided.

Core Responsibilities

  • Standardize automation platformsaround the Packing area

  • Supportinstallation and commissioningof production lines from Operational Technology (OT) perspective.

  • Identify and collectcontinuous improvementfor enhanced productivity, usability and serviceability.

  • OT Local Technology owner For Packing production Lines in Vietnam.

  • Drives and defines platform activities to ensure growth and robust production in respect to novelties and element specific changes.

  • Provides technical guidance for automation and IT architecture for development and design of automation/software for equipment in collaboration with suppliers and mechanical designers.

  • Ensures modularity and robustness for automation and mechatronics related technology for next generation of production equipment.

  • Support collaboration development of cross functional team

  • Provides IT knowledge to ensure state of the art architecture for a digital future.

  • Actively engage stakeholders and customers during and post the ramp up phase of new automation equipment.

Operational Technology – Automation & Robotics is key player for bringing the LEGO bricks in hands of the kids. Join us in making state of the art automation solutions under the Industry 4.0 umbrella. In this position you will play an important role ininstallation and commissioning of new production linesin our new factory in Vietnam. You will be working with Platforms in our Packing technology and have the responsibility toinnovate and maintain Software and OT equipment. You will be responsible forlocal software roll outand implementation hand in hand with stakeholders globally. We need you to bring your expertise in Automation and programming and preferably with knowledge from multiple suppliers.

In this role you will be the OT responsible onsite in Vietnam, and a key player in installation, commissioning and continuous improvement in our Packing technology.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Prefer candidates with Bachelor Degree or above, majoring in Automation or Mechatronics

  • Prefer candidates with a minimum of 3 years automation system programming and mechatronics application experience

Must -have qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 year experience in automation area with good understanding of packing technology

  • A minimum of 3 year experience in Allen Bradley , and/or B&R PLC system installation / troubleshooting experience (development, design and PLC-programming)

  • Knowledge of other automation brands and the ability to assess strength and weakness between different solutions

  • Fluent English, working across time zones and with multicultural teams

  • Familiar with Studio 5000 software and/or B&R Automation Studio

  • Experience in Ethernet/IP and/or OPC UA

  • Hands on experience in functional safety – understand safety controller and electrical diagram design and trouble shooting.

  • Knowledgeable about new technologies and innovative consumer trends

  • Able to read and write equipment design requirements (e.g. LEGO Technical Specification)

  • Ability to read/understand electrical drawings

Nice-to-have qualifications

  • Team player and understanding of multi cultural environment

  • Ability to see opportunities and challenge with holistic view

  • Experience in Beckho

  • Basic IT bridge building competences as:

  • Experience with DevOps principles like Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

  • Experience with APIs (ReST, OData)

  • Willingness to travel on business purpose
