DeWitt Guam is a leading logistics and transportation provider, shipping freight and household goods between the continental United States, Hawaii, Guam, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. The Postal Driver ensures the delivery and collection of mail and packages along a specified route, adhering to postal service standards and regulations. The role involves operating a postal vehicle, maintaining accurate delivery records, and providing excellent customer service.
Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 an hour, depending on experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Route Management: Plan and follow the most efficient route for timely deliveries.
Adjust routes as needed to accommodate changes in mail volume, road conditions, and new addresses.
Vehicle Operation: Safely operate postal service vehicles, including trucks, vans, or other designated vehicles.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.
Report any delivery issues, such as incorrect addresses or undeliverable items, to the supervisor.
Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally and courteously.
Address customer inquiries and provide information regarding postal services.
Compliance: Adhere to all postal service regulations, policies, and procedures.
Follow safety protocols and traffic laws while on the road.
Adhere/follow to ALL company “Safety” practices, policies, and procedures, including DOT requirements.
Perform both pre and post trip inspections to ensure the truck is in compliance and safe to operate.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have a current type B Commercial Driver’s License
Must pass a background check for Postal
Must have current Medical Card required by DOT.
Must have a clean driving history with no major violations.
Ability to pass a background check for security clearance as required for access to military installations.
