    POSITION DESCRIPTION: Performance and Trends: Supports the development, calculation, monitoring, and reporting of performance measures and targets to meet state and federal requirements and support plans and policies. Assesses trends and conditions that affect system performance. Reviews data methodology, calculations and results, and produces technical reports, summaries, handouts, presentations, and dashboards to summarize transportation system performance, trends, and forecasts.

    Task Work Order Management: Reconcile reports and financial data to ensure accurate and on-time payments. Document budget requests and maintain spreadsheets. Ensure contract requirements are processed correctly. Coordinate with other offices, including Procurement, Work Program, and Comptroller. Provide quality assurance on task work orders, track task activities, payments, and balances. Coordinates with Forecasting and Trends Office (FTO) Management and Consultants.

    Stakeholder Outreach: Collaborate with other Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) offices, including districts and Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) to support the development and monitoring of performance measures and targets. Develop and maintain relationships with partners in FDOT program offices, districts, MPOs and local governments to understand their performance reporting needs and identify how FTO work can integrate with other offices. Provides presentations to a variety of audiences including stakeholders and department staff to showcase the Forecasting and Trends Office’s various products.

    Internal & External Communication: Regular content review and updates to the FTO websites and SharePoint sites to accurately reflect current products, performance measures, trends, and other pertinent information. Manages FTO SharePoint access for internal and external partners. Assists other planning offices with website support when requested.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to independently perform a full range of assignments under limited supervision. Knowledge of business practices and procedures in order to work from general instructions. Ability to adapt and apply knowledge in a variety of complex situations, and in recommending solutions to problems of a specialized or general nature. Skill in analyzing and interpreting data, policy, and procedures. Skill in using equipment in order to arrive at logical conclusions or recommendations. Skill in creative planning in devising new methods and approaches to major problems.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Seven years of professional experience in the field of transportation planning, data analysis, performance reporting, strategic planning, or similar activities. A bachelor’s degree may substitute for four (4) years of the required work experience. A master’s degree may substitute for six (6) years of the required work experience.
