    An unacceptable driving record is defined as any of the following:

  • three (3) or more moving violations in the past 3 years that accumulate 3 or more points per violation;

  • any 2 convictions of reckless driving in the past 3 years;

  • a suspension or revocation of the driver license for moving violations in the past 3 years; and

  • a suspension or revocation for refusal to take a sobriety test, or any suspension or revocation for a DUI conviction in the past 4 years

    Your driving record will be reviewed, and the status of your driver license confirmed.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION: Develops, manages and administers the Office of Maintenance warehouse operations annual quality assurance review program for field warehouse locations and manufacturing warehouses to ensure compliance of established procedures and controls. Compiles reports and inventory data with recommendations to management regarding non-compliance areas and the corrections necessary to obtain compliance. Reviews each location annually to determine security, procedural compliance, instruction and training of Distribution Agents, Storekeepers, and Managers of Inventory and records control. Prepares final quality assessment review reports documenting findings and rating given and presents to Department of Transportation (DOT) Management.

    Instructs and provides statewide training of warehouse personnel and management in document control, including but not limited to, purchase orders, requisitions, warehouse issue and receipt tickets ensuring a uniform audit trail. Provides instruction and training of proper inventory and security control techniques.

    Manages, updates and maintains the Materials Supply Inventory (MSI) commodity catalog. Provides warehouse personnel with new commodity numbers upon request. Annually reviews and purges the commodity number system. Establishes and maintains commodity groupings within associated categories and provides training to field personnel upon request.

    Serves as the Office of Maintenance (OOM) equipment inventory/property delegate. Includes resolving issues related to annual inventory, obtaining property decals, preparing all disposal requests for used or outdated equipment. Maintains an excel spreadsheet with current OOM property listings and maintains other files related to property inventory. Conducts property inventory for the OOM.

    Coordinates the development of the annual District Quality Assurance Review (QAR) schedule with the Office of Maintenance and District QAR staff. Develops and coordinates the District Warehouse quality assessment review schedules for field warehouse locations and manufacturing warehouses. Develop and maintains an Office of Maintenance internal warehousing operations guidelines and provide recommended updates as needed.

    Assist with office commodity control, commodity management, and reordering supplies as directed.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge and ability to apply basic accounting principles and audit procedures; Knowledge of agency and department computer hardware software systems including databases associated with live and historical data; Knowledge and skill to analyze large amounts of statistical data; Skilled in use of Microsoft Office Suite; Ability to interpret and apply agency rules, procedures and policies; Ability to establish and maintain effective communications, both written and oral, with management, staff, internal and external customers; Ability to work independently; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; Ability to meet deadlines.

    OTHER JOB RELATED REQUIREMENTS: This position will be required to respond before, during and following emergency situations.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Obtained a High School Diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency. A Class “E” Florida Driver’s License is required. Must be able to travel extensively within the State of Florida.
