The Role The Strategic Procurement department is part of our Shared Services team. The TrueBlue Shared Services team provides global support to field operations located throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, India, and Australia. This role will optimize the performance within our company, focused primarily on cost savings initiatives in the technology and professional services spend area. This includes negotiating with suppliers, leveraging expertise to secure advantageous terms and maintaining strong relationships. This role will work with cross-functional teams to establish optimal pricing structure and ensure competitiveness. The individual will maintain the standards of excellence set forth in the department, and communicate and solve complex problems with other departments, managers, employees, and third-party suppliers. The key responsibilities for this role are: Monitor market trends, industry developments, and supplier capabilities to identify strategic sourcing opportunities. Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for categories assigned. Develop negotiations strategies and drive negotiations in collaboration with stakeholders and others within the enterprise. Negotiate contracts with suppliers of assigned categories resulting in favorable terms of the contracts to include pricing, payment terms, risk mitigation plans, etc. Make sourcing recommendations and decisions based on financial analysis, cost structure of categories, supplier alignment with company goals and strategies, and supplier position in their industry and marketplace. Lead cross-functional negotiating teams targeting key spend categories. Perform category spend analytics for global spend across the enterprise. Achieve significant cost reductions and ongoing gross margin contribution while maintaining/improving product and service quality and supplier service levels. Work closely with key stakeholders to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans. Tracking forecasted versus actual savings and performance indicators for assigned category and be responsible for communicating results against these measures and any potential budget impact(s).
