Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related. 2 years of experience as a Structural Design Engineer, Civil Engineer, or related. Experience must include: Experience with relevant marine, port, and coastal construction codes, regulations, including ASCE 61, UFC 4-152, and PIANC, and berthing and mooring analysis; Used structural analysis software, including SAP2000, SPColumn, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, and SAFE, to conduct pushover and staged construction analysis and to provide design checks for waterfront structures such as piles, pile caps, and deck panels; Experience with design procedure and construction stages on waterfront projects, including pier, wharves, drydock designs, with port authorities and state ferry terminal; Performed geotechnical analysis using L-Pile to design concrete filled steel pipe piles and concrete column piles for pier foundations per WSDOT design manual

Duties: Perform civil/structural design for marine and upland components under supervision of senior ports and marine engineers. Prepare technical written communications in the form of memoranda and reports. Support managers in the creation of plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates in accordance with client requirements. Work in a team to make sure that work product meets scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements. Perform design calculations in support of broader engineering activities. Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work. Assist with work plan preparation and coordination of site work and code compliance. Complete training on assigned tasks. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
