Description Summary The Maintenance Parts Coordinator is responsible for all phases in managing and controlling the maintenance parts inventory for use throughout CMA. Responsibilities include receiving, recording, issuing, and transporting parts and supplies to and from the warehouse, planning the layout of the warehouse and other storeroom areas, designating and adjusting storage areas according to usage, maintaining all warehouse inventory and records, maintaining the computerized inventory database and verifying with physical inventory counts as required, replenishing warehouse stock and issuing restocking purchase requisitions. Duties and Responsibilities Manage Maintenance Parts Inventory, by maintaining strong inventory accuracy May require driving off campus to obtain parts. Research and identify cost savings initiatives Coordinate and track pickup and delivery of assets Approve invoices as needed Maintain Parts inventory counts in the maintenance management system Assist Maintenance Technicians with appropriate parts Receiving, Organizing, and Stocking Maintenance inventory Managing the Receiving process for all incoming items Perform physical inventories, when needed. Cycle counts Build PM kits to support preventative maintenance activities Evaluate reports for parts usage to identify repetitive repairs and part failures Other duties as assigned Skills and Specifications Must have valid driver's license. Must be able to operate a forklift. Must be able to work overtime odd hours and/or shifts. Strong written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills Ability to efficiently manage time and planning skills. Must have good computer skills (inventory software and barcoding systems a plus). Ability to work with outside vendors Education and Qualifications At least one year of similar or related experience required A two-year college degree; or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school; or, completion of specialized training courses conducted by equipment vendors; or job specific skills acquired through on-the-job training or apprenticeship program. Must have a driver's license Must be able to operate a forklift - pass certification within 30 days This position involves working with technologies and information which are subject to U.S. export control regulations.
