Description

This full time Monday through Friday position requires good problem solving abilities and IT support technical skills.  Travel to our Central NY offices required for a minimum of 3 days a week. A professional, courteous manner is expected at all times while interacting with a large number of staff, vendors and other members of the community.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot IT support requests from employees

• Answering employee questions regarding computer hardware & systems

• Gathering and analyzing data to diagnose problems with computer systems

• Changing configurations, settings and permissions to fix computer issues

• Generating sign ins for new hires during the onboarding process

• Installing new software and hardware drivers and updating existing ones as needed

• Replacing old or damaged equipment as needed

• Updating employees on the status of their service requests

• Updating tickets as needed and managing technical documentation

The duties include being a point of contact for IT related questions at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner, and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other duties.

All Issues and problems that cannot be resolved promptly should be reviewed with the IT Manager

for guidance to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

Work can also occasionally include installation of network and camera cabling, installing wireless access points, security cameras, new phones as well as copier or printer questions.  

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in IT support and systems maintenance

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs or work comfortably on a step ladderPreferred Experience:  

  • Microsoft Windows Desktop Environment

  • Microsoft Windows Server Environment

  • Microsoft Office 365/Active Directory Environment

  • Site to site vpn

  • VoIP Phone Systems and SIP Trunks

  • IP and Coaxial Security Camera Systems

  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance
