Pomeroy College of Nursing is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position for the evening/weekend program. The faculty position is based on a 12 month appointment. The faculty responsibilities include providing instruction for nursing students in the classroom, laboratory and/or clinical settings. Faculty are expected to provide support and guidance for students in each of these settings, including formative and summative student feedback based upon course learning outcomes. Faculty are expected to maintain prescribed faculty workload, including participation in College committees.
Job Requirements:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required. Enrolled in Master's degree in Nursing program with degree completion plan in place upon hire. Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire. Minimum of three (3) years of full time or its equivalent in clinical nursing experience in the assigned area of responsibility.
Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience with adult learning strategies/theories and teaching experience preferred.
Special Skills/Equipment: Demonstrated competency in the teaching/learning process. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Salary Range: $75,000+
