Spectrolab, Inc ., a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, has an exciting opportunity available with the Spectrolab Team for a Mid-Level or Experienced Project Management Specialist in our Sylmar, CA facility.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Mid-Level or Experienced Program Management Specialist

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads programs and integrated product teams (IPTs) to ensure focus on program performance, situational awareness, risk and opportunity management

  • Responsible for customer interactions and engagement

  • Manages program Estimates at Completion (EAC), Earned Value, maintain program schedule, and ensure programs are in compliance with quality and contractual requirements.

  • Partners with business development and marketing on short and long-term customer strategies and proposals, to keep current business sold and enable new business wins

  • Coordinates across functions on cost and margin improvement, holding team members accountable to commitments and ensuring successful, timely outcomes

  • Focus on lean, continuous, measurable improvement to achieve delivery certainty on high-quality products to customers

  • Experienced Level 4: Provides role modeling and mentoring for team members, encourage knowledge sharing and skill growth

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ managing project schedules and managing programs and projects

  • 3+ years’ experience leading cross functional teams

  • Experience with critical business and financial acumen including risk, issue, and opportunity management to drive performance

  • 3+ years' experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners)

  • 3+ years’ experience with developing and executing operating rhythms, integrated program schedules, project plans, and/or metrics

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working in the space photovoltaics industry

  • Experience in Operations and/or Production

  • More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Typical Education & Experience:

Mid-Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Experienced Level 4 : Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Mid-Level 3: $93,500 – $126,500

Summary pay range for Experienced Level 4: $115,600 – $156,400
